E. Wilbur Cook, Class of 1923
Eugene Wilbur Cook (1902-1978) was born and raised in Danville and graduated from Centre in 1923. After graduating from Centre, Cook continued his education at Ohio State University, where he received his master's and doctoral degrees. He returned to Centre in 1926 and served as professor of biology for forty-five years, including thirty years as department head. A prolific amateur photographer, Cook left Centre over two thousand prints and negatives chronicling the college from the early 1920s to the late 1940s.
