The Centre College Special Collections, located in the Grace Doherty Library, includes a collection of rare books and the Centre College Archives. The Archives primarily concerns the history of Centre College and its various affiliated schools, including Kentucky College for Women. The collection, dating from 1818 to the present, includes material such as manuscripts, photographs, publications, yearbooks, annual catalogs, audio and video recordings, and more. The rare book collection, while small, includes examples of fine printing, nineteenth century natural history books, books printed in France in the 1500s, Kentucky history, and Presbyterianism.
Access to the Centre College Special Collections is available by appointment only. If you are interested in scheduling a visit, please contact Stan Campbell at stan.campbell@centre.edu.
