Obiter Scripta
Obiter Scripta ("random writings") was the name of a literary society formed at Centre in 1948 whose purpose was to encourage literary activity among students. Professor John Aden of the English Department was the sponsor and director. Membership was determined by nomination and election within the group, and initially limited to eight members who met semi-monthly to present and criticize their individual manuscripts.
