Richd [Richard] D. Crutchfield will build the College agreeable to the description handed him by D. [David] G. Cowan - with this addition. The partition walls 1 & 1/2 brick thick to the square, as also the windows to be cased plain on the inside with base & subbase in as many of the rooms as directed, with all the doors paneled. The sashes made of walnut & all the outside doors. The first & second floors planed & tongue & groove. The garret floor of poplar tongued & grooved, not planed. All the scantling in the roof of poplar. The window & door sills the width of the thickness of the walls, sufficiently clamped with iron. Stone steps like Mrs. Davenport's front door. All of which shall be finished in a neat workmanlike manner for the sum of eight thousand nine hundred & fifty dollars.
