Toledo O [Ohio] May 1st 1862
Proff [Professor] O. [Ormond] Beatty
Dear Sir
I write to obtain some information, as to where I could direct a letter to Mr. Wm [William] E. Gray. I suppose the Library is completed, and he has left Danville. I made the Plans of the Library according to Mr. Boyle's order, and have recd. [received] no pay for the Plans & Specifications. I had written to Mr. Gray about it, and he agreed to attend to it for me, but I have not heard anything from [him] for a long time.
I wish you would be kind enough to give me some information in regard as to the matter. Also give me if you please Mr. Gray's address. I am now located here in Toledo, any orders from your vicinity will be promptly attended too [sic]
Respectfully
Yours etc
C. [Charles] C. Miller
