Danville 16th July 1828

Mr John Green

Sir it has been suggested to me that there will be a situation at the disposal of the educational society (I mean that of superintendant of the farm etc.) which will suit me, and which, perhaps, I will be able to fill. I have had this subject on my mind since it was named and came to the place at this time to attend to it, but cannot well remain until there is anything decided upon by the board. I have, however, concluded that if the terms are such as I can abide by, and the place is in my offer, I will accept of it. Will you do me the favour to present me, in this attitude before the hon. [honorable] Board.

Yours affectionately etc.
N. Walker
