Georgetown, Ky.
Nov. 14th 1873 [November 14, 1873]

Brother Α.Κ.Φ. [Alpha Kappa Phi]

The number of our members this year is large enough this to carry on the business of the Society [illegible word], will if they were so disposed, but the pressure of studies, and the indisposition on the part of some of our members to attend to the duties of the Society have caused a meeting of this Society, at which it was resolved to adjourn the Society sine die. And Mr. R.D. Moore [Reuben D. Moore] and myself were appointed a committy [sic] to return the Constitution and also to let the Grand Order know of our adjournment.

We send to you by express the Constitution of the Α.Κ.Φ. [Alpha Kappa Phi] Society.

Yours in α.α.π. [alpha alpha pi, with a chain linking the letters]
Henry B. Allen
Reuben D. Moore
