Present: President Hinitt; Profs. Redd, Crooks, Rainey, Ramsey, Blayney, Smith, Thomas, Cheek and Clark. By vote of faculty Thompson's absences for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, January 9th, 10th, and 11th were excused. Motion of Professor Smith carried to report all absences within the current week.

Present: Dr. Hinitt in chair; Dean Redd, Professors Crooks, Classen, Rainey, Thomas, Cheek and Clark.
Additions and changes in Standing Committee were announced by the president as follows:
Professor Classen added to the Committee on Graduate Studies
Professor Flippen added to the Committee on Student Athletics
Professors Smith & Flippin added to the Committee on Public Functions
Professor Classen added to the Committee on Lecture Course
Professors Classen & Smith added to the Committee on Accredited Schools
Professors Rainey & Clark added to the Committee on Honorary Degrees
Professors Flippin, Smith, Crooks added to the Committee on Religious Work
Motion made and carried that students presenting advanced Latin for entrance be allowed 2/3 of year credits (namely 4.0) after completing one year of work in college.
Motion made and carried stating that five (5) absences be allow each student in each three hour course without the loss of credits.
Students accumulating thirty (30) absences may be excluded, automatically, from the college.
