Board of Trustees of Caldwell College met at 2nd Presbyterian Church. Present - George W. Welsh, Ormond Beatty, Gavin E. Wiseman, J.T. Shelton, & John A. Cheek.
A communication from Miss Lottie A. Campbell was presented to the Board containing a statement of certain payments to the Treasurer and other bills of expenses paid out by her. As the Board did not understand the matter fully, on motion of Dr. Ormond Beatty, Mr. Gavin E. Wiseman, John A. Cheek, and George W. Welsh were constituted a committee to confer with Miss Campbell and get such a statement in writing as will show the exact status of the account between Miss Campbell and this Board. On motion of Dr. Beatty, Mr. Gavin E. Wiseman was unanimously elected Vice President of this Board.
The Board then adjourned to meet on call of President to hear report of committee above appointed.
