Danville, Ky. May 30, 1916
Board of Trustees of the Kentucky College for Women met at the college. Present John A. Quisenberry, N.K. Tunis, James H. Letcher, Alfred B. Nelson, Charles H. Rodes, J.M. Wallace, George W. Welsh, Samuel R. Cheek, Guy E. Wiseman, S.M. Harbison, & John A. Cheek.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and on motion approved as recorded.
On motion John A. Quisenberry was elected as President of the Board of Trustees and John A. Cheek, Secretary and Treasurer.
On motion the following resolution was adopted. Resolved that the President of the corporation be and is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to accept from the College Board of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, the sum of one thousand and five hundred dollars for and in behalf of the corporation.
Further resolved that the President and the Secretary be and they are hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute and deliver for and in behalf of the corporation a deed of gift from the said College Board of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America to secure the repayment of the said sum of one thousand five hundred dollars and to affix the corporate seal of the corporation thereto.
On motion the President of the Board was requested to express in writing to the alumnae association the thanks of the Board for the efficient work done in getting the names of alumnae and old pupils and placing same in permanent form.
As follows the thanks of the Board of Trustees of this institution is voted to the Executive Officers and members of the alumnae association for their continued interest in this college. The Board desires especially to recognize at this time the permanent value of the work done for some years past in securing a corrected list of the graduates of Caldwell Institute, Caldwell College, and Bell Seminary and having same printed, and to congratulate them on their success in securing the return of old graduates at Commencement each year by arranging for alumnae banquets.
The Board desires to urge the continuance of the present policy by the alumnae association and asks the association to cooperate with the Trustees in making of the Kentucky College for Women the leading college for Women in this state and section of our country.
The President of this Board is directed to convey to these faithful and earnest workers on behalf of this institution this expression of their appreciation of the work they are doing.
On motion the following persons received diplomas on recommendation of the Faculty, viz.
